Hello everybody!

It's been a long time since I post on this forum, but I still use to check it now and then.

I'd like to know any opinions about the V-Stand, because I'm thinking about buying one to replace my Ultimate Apex but I don't know if it's as stable as the Apex...
Also, there isn't any store with one nearby...

Any help will be appreciated!

I think hank has one ......he should be able to give you expert advice.

The only downside to it I have heard (other than price!) is that you CANNOT get the support arms to be truly horizontal...... The keyboard will always have a slight cant downwards.

Update...... I found the review I based the slight downwards cant comment on, and it turns out to be the Ultimate V-Stand. So, perhaps the Roland (although it LOOKS very similar) doesn't have this 'feature'. Anyone care to correct me?

If you are a stickler for the keyboard to be flat, you may have a problem....

Oh, and here's a tip for players of light, portable arrangers that may have a problem with excessive 'bounce'......

Get some 'Heavy Duty Velcro' - the kind that is hard plastic for BOTH sides (this works best, but is harder to separate - you CAN use regular heavy duty cloth velcro, but it wears out faster) and attach to the stand and keyboard so they mate together solidly.

Now, the stand and keyboard are one unit, and MUCH harder to make bounce.......

I forgot to mention, the keyboard I use is a Roland RD300SX.

Hank actually has two, one for him and one for his wife, Linda. I borrowed one to try out, and it works very well. Stable and not too heavy.
He has a mic stand adapter and a second tier.

Hi Luis,

I love my V-stand. I have the Roland version. Now I can work in a tight setting w/out thinking about anyone tripping over the feet/legs of the other types of stands out there.

As Don said I have two V-stands they work well for my G-70s. They are very stable and easy to fold for transport without the attachments. I have three mic stand adapters I use two on my stand, one for my mic the other for my TC-Helicon VoiceSolo VSM-300 monitor. The stand is slightly heavy compared to the X-stand but the little extra weight comes from quality construction.

HankB- would the V-stand be better for me than the standtastic we were just talking about? 2 tiers makes it harder?
